Terms of Service
Last updated: July 14, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of OpenCrawl (“OpenCrawl,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including the website atopencrawl.fun, related applications, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, starting a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use OpenCrawl on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
1. The Service
OpenCrawl helps you measure AI visibility for public websites you own or control. Depending on your plan, the Service may include:
- Crawlability checks against AI bot user-agents and related signals
- Visibility scans that query third-party AI and search systems with buyer-intent prompts
- Scores, citations, competitor signals, action plans, and report exports
- Project and prompt baseline management for up to the plan-allowed number of sites
OpenCrawl provides measurement and reporting tools. It does not guarantee rankings, citations, traffic, leads, or specific outcomes from AI systems. Third-party AI answers and search results change over time and may differ from scan to scan.
2. Accounts
You must sign in with Google to use the Service. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. Provide accurate information and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service.
3. Plans, billing, and cancellations
OpenCrawl offers paid plans (currently “Pro”) billed through our payment processor, Dodo Payments. Prices, entitlements, and limits (such as active websites and monthly scan allowances) are described on the Service and may change with notice.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel through the billing portal or other cancellation method we provide.
- Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated by us.
- If payment fails or your subscription ends, access to paid features may be suspended or limited.
- Taxes may apply depending on your location and the payment processor’s handling of tax.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Scan, crawl, or analyze websites you do not own or lack authorization to test
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
- Use the Service to violate robots rules, applicable law, or third-party rights (including privacy, intellectual property, and computer-access laws)
- Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to others except as expressly allowed
- Misrepresent scan results, remove branding from exports in a misleading way, or use OpenCrawl to harass or defraud others
- Upload or configure prompts or content that are unlawful, abusive, or intended to extract others’ private data
We may investigate suspected misuse and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Your content and website authorization
You retain ownership of content you submit (such as project names, domains, URLs, and custom prompts). You grant OpenCrawl a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service.
By adding a website, you represent that you own it or are authorized to request crawls and visibility checks against it. You authorize OpenCrawl to access publicly available pages and files on that site (for example robots.txt, sitemaps, and public HTML) using identifiable crawler user-agents for the purpose of providing the Service.
6. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including Google (authentication), Supabase (auth and database), Dodo Payments (billing), Cloudflare (hosting), and AI or search providers such as OpenAI and Exa (visibility evidence). Their terms and availability affect the Service. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or content returned by those systems.
7. Intellectual property
OpenCrawl, including its software, branding, design, and documentation, remains our property or that of our licensors. Except for the limited rights needed to use the Service, no license is granted. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service except as allowed by law.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that scans will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or that scores or recommendations will be accurate for every AI system or market. Export formats and report contents may change as the product evolves.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OPENCRAWL AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO OPENCRAWL FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100) IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID ANY FEES.
10. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify OpenCrawl against claims arising from your use of the Service, your websites or prompts, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of others’ rights, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may cancel a paid subscription as described in the billing portal. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and cancel any subscription.
